The company started in 1994 as Security Systems International in Canada but its services grew to such an extent that it became a British Registered Company early in 2003 : IDPL Ltd.

Our mission

To provide our clients with the best possible services in order to assist them with solving security issues quickly, efficiently and with minimum impact to the surrounding infrastructure.

Our policy

IDPLs operating principles ensures that the company only accepts projects which, In the view of its management, would improve the state of security, stability and general conditions in client companies. To this end the company will only undertake projects which are for :
  • Internationally recognised governments
  • International institutions
  • Genuine, internationally recognised and supported movements
And which are :
  • Legal and moral
  • Conducted to the standards of first world military forces
  • Where possible, broadly in accord with the policies of key western governments
  • Undertaken exclusively within the national boundaries of the client country
IDPL ltd will not become involved with :
  • Embargoed regimes
  • Terrorist organisations
  • International organised crime
  • Illegal arms trading
  • Contravention of human rights
In the absence of international regulations governing Private Military Companies, IDPL ltd has adopted a self regulatory approach to the conduct of our activities. This includes a rigid adherence to the principles outlined above.

Management and resources

IDPL ltd is privately managed by a number of ex police and military personnel from the United Kingdom. This team is supported by a pool of consultants with extensive international commercial expertise. IDPL ltd personnel are all specialists from both police and military units, all are highly trained in their specific fields of expertise, and these skills have been gained worldwide over many years. They are some of the best available, and have extensive experience of all levels of conflict, but are tuned to the nuances and political sensitivities in the world today.

All employees are thoroughly vetted by the company prior to employment, and their activities are monitored closely at all times. Any breaches of discipline or confidentiality result in dismissal and may result in prosecution. Our employees operate in a disciplined structure, observing both international laws and customs.
